Default The Hero's Journey - Not classic but fun as hell

With the population here dwindling and no signs of a merge and fresh server, I decided to try out THJ. I would like to start by saying I really hate post Velious content and I quit playing live soon after SoL launched. Now that this is out of the way, my thoughts on THJ:

This game is basically Everquest becomes a fast paced ARPG like PoE or Diablo. It is easy to get in, it is easy to gear up and it is easy to just go wherever you want and kill shit. You can solo anything but there is still a challenge and you cannot just go in without a plan and slay. For example it took me 2 tries to kill naggy.

You can get in, play for 30 min, and feel like you accomplished something. It is kinda like how Vile made his PvP crucify server only PvE, So for someone like me who has a family a job and no time to raid, this scratches this itch without having to get batphoned at 3am because of a quake.

Anyone else playing this?

I'm playing there. It's a blast. I wasn't expecting to play any type of EQ for a while but this is just a much different and very fun experience.

I think this is more of a "Dad's" Everquest. Where people like me who gets maybe 2 hours at night to play or if I am not super busy at work, can still enjoy all those juicy pixels without spending 100+ hours and get enough DKP to get an item. Again, It is more like Diablo where you can solo kill Diablo/Meph/Baal etc. It is like EQ if it was an ARPG. best of both worlds IMO.

Yeah it is not gonna be for some people, but when you have kids, dogs and house stuff to do, it is what it is.

Sounds like most games nowadays where once an expat hits someone has already beaten final boos within a day or two. All reward 0 skill

Sounds like everything that p99 is not:

p99 no RMT ( includes bitcoin which is just about to crash - iff congress makes it illegal since it is proof of work

proof of work is the trifecta of stupid / greedy / evil

stupid: look up the advances in quantum computing quantum computer will know all 21 million bitcoin hashes <== if I have a hacked database of all the passwords for 21 million users and I know their email then "in ur base eatin ur cookies!"

greedy ( straight to the moon *this* time for sure # how else are we gonna fleece these sheep? remember buy when WSJ *tells* you to buy and sell when WSJ *tells* you to buy # if you trust WSJ # please send an in-game tell "/afk so sorry please /q to add your request to the top of my queue thanks for your understanding"

evil lets have tardlings ( miners : the children they yearn for the mines ) buy up all the graphics cards so them fucking loser gamers can't afford to play anything nor be able to try out VR # as that cross dressing asshole freak put it about weed and blacks:

what did hoover say about marijuana and blacks

Reasoned for 12 seconds
J. Edgar Hoover’s remarks on marijuana and African Americans are widely cited as examples of his racially charged views, though the exact wording of his statements can vary across sources and some have been taken out of context over the decades. In various FBI memos and public comments during his tenure, Hoover asserted that marijuana use was particularly prevalent among African Americans and that it contributed to social and moral decay. For instance, some historical accounts claim that Hoover argued the drug was linked to increased criminality among blacks, and that its use would exacerbate societal problems within minority communities. These views were part of a broader narrative used at the time to justify aggressive law enforcement policies and have since been widely discredited as racist and unscientific.

It’s important to note that while these statements are documented in discussions of Hoover’s legacy, the precise phrasing often differs depending on the source, and modern scholars and critics overwhelmingly condemn these views for their biased and harmful nature.

gamers are the new blacks # they live in their parents basement - they don't wash - they don't have any friends since online friends are not real blah fucking blah blah

/afk daddy gotta jet - Inny wuvs you - he said you don't call you don't write ...
