I think the problem with the next generations is, each generation before was able to think that theirs was the best. But from now on we've got enough knowledge to know that each generation is the same, and that personhood is futile and pointless, and the only thing that matters is building a bigger and more powerful all knowing all seeing AI

All we have to say for ourselves now is we built an empire and dug up a bunch of dead empires. But at least for us we're still like, "maybe it means something!?!?" | ||

Shit was a little surreal last week at my workplace's location for a couple days. I work in suburban whitesville, targets and trader joes and all. Everything around is fairly upscale, the local municipalities keep the streets paved/coated fresh and the medians mowed. for like 2 days, during daylight hours, at the entrance to the property set in a business park, there was a woman dressed in hoochie clothes leaning up against a sign w/ her purse and heels and little jacket. I saw her twice as I drove by. property management company got calls from offices nearby and ours too, that a woman was soliciting herself to male drivers as they sat at the red lights. word gets around and turns into rumor and ppl were saying she had got fired from one of the restaurants in the nearby plaza. that veil of civilization really is razor thin, but for the grace of whatever god, her situation could be any of us but also maybe i should get a better car, because she never propositioned me... | |||
