Yes and when they only paid 5.25 an hour in the 90s it was also hard to live off of, cause every wage is not supposed to be a "living wage". That notion is just berniebro utopian horseshit. I've worked fast food service jobs and grocerie store jobs, at no point did I expect to "live" off of that. However it did allow me to save enough money over time to attend a state school, which is dirt cheap.

If you expect mcdonalds to pay a living wage then, yes, you need to consider living in "bumfuck nowhere" instead of manhatten. This is called life.
around 1997 federal minimum wage was about $5.25

Annual Cost of College Tuition & Fees
Year Public 4-Year Private 4-Year
2019-20 $9,349 $32,769

1997-98 $3,110 $13,344

Yeah I am going to go with that your argument doesn't hold water.

I am sure your next statement will be in true Ben Shapiro fashion stating social programs are better today than they were then or you don't need a degree.

The educated are more often Democrat for a reason.

I like when they cite the federal minimum wage as the average minimum wage.

Mean vs mode buddy bois, put down the bourbon.

Spill the Beans, Man:

So, without too much detail because by Law I can't. What I can say is I found her in a Garden and we were kept apart for a long time.

Why should somebody waste their time working a job for a wage they can't live off of? I've never once worked for that little in my life, not even as a teen.

We have one life, and it's not very long. What a fucking tragedy to sell even an hour of it for pennies. It's not "berniebro utopian horseshit" to expect to be treated with dignity lol. You short-changed yourself, selling pieces of your short life for way too little, and instead of admitting you were exploited, you want other people to make your same mistake.

It's not even fucking necessary. There are many business models and slave-wage dogshit jobs are only one of them.
