The list goes on [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] mages are a great +1 and the best ToV raid class.
If and only if they're willing to get out there and make plays.

You know as well as anyone your average p99 wall-licker mage is just sitting there tending to mod rods.

The whole thread is about using a mage pet as a damage sponge. There are a lot of people who don’t raid much or at all. As a generic DPS and utility player for 1-2 group stuff mages are great. Grinding, farming, epic fights, etc.

For raiding, Cothing and rods are important unless we change to unrooted dragons or are required to crawl. A warmbody main mage is still better than half the classes that show up on raids. Situationally, DA training extremely important.

I’d love to try EoT in the same way.
Insightful data overall. Thank you for putting this together. Looking forward to if you get similar data for the level 59 Necro pet.

Cheers

Thanks [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] I’ll bug a necro and provide the dots. Maybe throw on a stun whip to see how that helps.

The best way I could compensate for the flee time is to nuke at 20% (or have it land). He would result with 1-2% left and fleeing but only ate one backstab out of the 5 water fights for like 145.
If you want root assistance some time in the future I'd be happy to help out for an hour or two, assuming you're testing on Blue.
