I signed up for some LOTR challenge where I get these cool medals if I run/walk (with me it’s gonna be running) a few hundred miles in a set time. I guess it’s tracked via the app using your phone’s pedometer and gps or something

Kinda feel scammed because it was $50 which I thought was for all the medals, the total mileage I would have to walk/run (see: run) is ~800ish miles in a year or so (very do-able for me) to earn every medal

Now I’m finding out that I only paid for the first medal, The Shire one, at like 145miles or something. Then I’d have to sign up for the rest. I’ll get the first and then see what kinda quality it is. Supposedly the medals are nice, but at $50/each seems like a rip. You get other stuff mailed at certain milestones but meh

Personality can compensate for looks and vice-versa. But yeah with dating apps it’s very easy to flaunt looks and much harder to express some personality. Having a good bio helps even though more people won’t read it than will

I disagree with Fiend in that even ugly people can find perfect lighting and angles for a good picture if they are good at taking pics of themselves, usually achieved by lots of (sad) practice. But then again, the better you get at this the more people might feel catfished when they meet in person. And, while this girl can coast on her looks, I think it’s profile suicide to have lists of “these are things I don’t like/want” in your bio. It makes you look high-maintenance and negative

I think PUA is a scam but I do believe if someone hired a pro photographer and writer to make a profile for them it would garner 10x+ as much attention as they could probably do themselves. NOT that I am recommending it, but it just shows that there is some skill to making a good profile IMO. Anyway you can still hate the sites tho I wouldn’t blame anyone

While I like talking about myself in general, doing it about dating is with a purpose. I think there’s a decent amount of people here who have given up on dating or it’s been so long they have forgotten how it goes in the modern day. Trying to normalize it a bit. Not vilify it, not glamorize it, just an honest neutral account of my experience. But an entire new thread seems like a bit much

In regards to dating apps, my mom met my stepdad on match, I’ve had multiple relatives and friends meet their husbands and wives on dating apps and have stayed in those relationships. So we can’t paint everyone on them with the same brush. Like I said, your experience is going to largely depend on the type of person you go after

That being said I promise to watch that vid posted here as I like the stuff from Ginasp99, I just can’t right this moment due to having a call at work

Lots of people have strong relationships that started on apps so I agree you may find success (and I wish you best of luck for that!) I’m packing my day bags for our third wedding anniversary- if there is hope for me there is hope for everyone here !

I leveled some toons for Henry Cavill. He likes his characters to be leveled up using traditional everquest grinding methods that are tried and true since 1999, and not to use any unnatural / borderline exploitative power leveling methods.

At the same time he has a busy career so I get his characters up to the level he desires and fill him in on the scoop and provide some training sessions so he knows all the tactics I employed and what he should be aware of.

We also have a separate EMU server where we just dungeon crawl so he knows where stuff is and create our own encounters by taking direct control of the NPC's and making a sort of DnD style tale as we go.

He does all the hard work himself but when you need to hold down a goblin camp for many hours at a time to level up he needs someone to help out because its just too costly time wise for him to do it.

He usually boxes red and green when he plays, and really wishes a new pvp server would launch so he could be there in the early days when all the fun is happening.

His main is a human SK, he is max ally with all Halas factions, and really close with dwarfs halfings, and ogres.

Trolls and humans and elfs and erudites are all acceptable faction, but not optimal, with a few KOS guys in some of the cities.
