Greg explains that 30%+ bodyfat is about the ideal for a competitive power lifter….assuming cardio is still there…which, let’s be real, for most powerlifters it’s NOT there. Because, as Greg explains “mass moves mass in general”…I’ve never heard it broken down that simply, but it makes sense. I always wondered why we never see a shredded power lifter, and I guess Mitchell Hooper is one of the closest we’ll get. At least his cardio is far above most powerlifters, because it was good before and he goes out of his way to maintain it
I like when these 2 get together. Props to Greg for always keeping his bodyfat perfect on point year round, especially at his age. Dude is an inspiration https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=

The secret to losing weight before beach vacation in 12 days:
Pickles. Loads and loads of pickles Fills the belly, zero calories (actually I think negative calories, takes more energy to chew them than they provide)

Nice hikes. I'm climbing Shasta next month and have been doing a pretty tough 12-week mountaineering training program. 4 days of cardio, 2 days of strength, 1 rest day per week.
Also eating like ~130g of protein a day and watching my cals. I'm down about ~5-6lb overall but at the same time have put on muscle. My wife and I are both pleased. I've always been strong in cardio because I've been a big hiker/backpacker/semi-runner for about a decade now. This is the first time I've actually felt strong though.

I personally think hybrid (cardio + strength) athlete is the Way and the Light for everyone, but if you had to pick just one thing for overall health, cardio def the way to go
