understandably sounds like a troll, but it's legit. turns out i was undercooking the salmon i was eating to lose weight and kept giving myself food poisoning for a few weeks, plus covid absolutely wrecked my appetite. soda's the hardest thing to quit, by far, but that was a huge part of it. was up to like 6 cans of mtn dew a day at one point, down to maybe 2 a day and always twice as much water in between as a rule i've stuck by. caffeine withdrawal is a bitch.
I would throw your computer in the trash and start walking every time you have a desire to play a video game or watch something on TV. I’m not joking, biggest thing I remember about being in Iran compared to being in the US is that daily tasks required walking to a market or some square for social events daily or near daily. That’s the biggest reason Americans are obese

But yes, good on you for making changes. Understand that sodas will never be healthy and those you’ll have to quit entirely, probably like alcohol and cigarettes which I assume you consume. Good luck buddy, it’s not as hard as you think make you once make healthy habits a lifestyle

soda's tough to quit because of caffeine withdrawals, but it's a process that's ongoing, dunno if i can totally close the door on it yet. i live within walking distance of a gym and a grocery store. i plan to start using the former, asked for workout clothes for christmas and got some. i always walked to the store for small stuff before but now i make it a habit to go and just grab a bottle of water and walk home. i don't drink much alcohol if at all, usually a rum and coke hanging out with friends, no cigs either but i do like the devil's lettuce, but also only with friends.

I am a caffeine fiend too, I feel ya. I think I would become borderline suicidal if I had to quit. I am pushing the max of recommended 500mg per day between coffees and my pre-workout I take before workouts which is like 3 coffees in one

But yea I quit sodas a long time ago as a kid. Hard to quit but if you ever do, I can’t even drink them anymore, they taste too syrupy now

Did you take a before pic before you started this weight loss journey? When I say you are going to feel better in every conceivable way I meant it. The whole world will open up to you physically in what you can do, I’m sure you’ll find something active you like. It’s going to be so liberating it will feel like you are flying after you lose the weight!

Oh I suggested the before pic only because you are going to want to proudly show a before and after to friends and/or family or others one day

i've got like a decade and a half of facebook photos, but i never took one for a before because it was never really an intentional big moment thing, just kinda shifting little things at a time to keep it manageable and feel small and not let my depression and anxiety get in the way

Get yourself tested for worms and eat the paste.

Or don't. It's a free country.

As long as you can do it, you're spot on! I had a rough go bc i was quitting cigarettes and nicotine as a whole alongside other habits...and man is it a bitch but just making sure youre concious of doing something is better than nothing at all, and it all adds up over time!

More than a month of my left leg being fucked up where it attaches to my pelvis. More than a month of having to take Mexican Tramadol to run on my busted leg, a full bottle’s worth, and still feeling pain through that + 3 Advil. A month+ of feeling occasional pangs of sadness partly from every single walking step I take hurting on my leg, and probably mostly due to the after effects of whatever that tramadol was laced with

But now, my left leg is about 90% healed, despite never resting it and continuing to run and hike on it. Almost back to full strength

Celebrating with some hustle porn:
