Oh yeah when it comes to female badasses, how can we forget Gogo? Loved her work in Battle Royale, and she did end up giving the Bride one of her toughest fights in the series

battle of algiers is absolutely ebin, it's in that mockumentary style and goes through the whole insurgency and counter insurgency including rationalization of torture etc. Characters resemble their IRL counterparts, whichever are historical anyway. Very good sound engineering on that one too for how old. Extremely touchy themes being so far pre-9/11, quite a bit of sympathy.
