So AW comes on here and openly admits they don't bother with Tunare anymore because clearing the zone is way too time consuming and isn't worth the rewards. So they invite people to help do the part they refuse to do but then don't want to share in the best loot in the zone? The whole "well we could do this on our own anyway" excuse doesn't seem very appropriate in this situation.

Clearing PoGrowth is the kind of thing you can do like once or twice a year, because an 8hr clear that often is a novelty, but any more often it is basically just a work shift.

As such I think there is a strong alignment of interest between irregular raiders, for whom PoGrowth trash is novel content and usable gear, and Awakened, for whom PoGrowth trash is an inconvenience and the gear is rot.

This is an improvement to refusing open participation and selling loot rights to rots, which as an alternative would be more convenient to Awakened (and much more worthy of salt).

Somehow, clearing for 8 hours is more tedious than socking for 8 hours doing nothing?

Public raids are good.

If it wasn't mutually beneficial it wouldn't happen--who cares?

If people didn't need gear from HoT they wouldn't go through the effort to host public HoT raids. Likewise, if people didn't need gear from wtov they wouldn't be hosting public wtov raids. Both of these happening are great for people on the server even if the motivations for hosting them aren't completely altruistic. Whats the difference here?

Clearly, the server is better off when public raids are happening, and people aren't going to care much what the motives for the raids are if they can benefit from them.

*shrug* seems a good way for guildless scrubs like me to get a fair chance at (gemless)armor drops that we'd not otherwise have.

I remember PoG from live Velious and it was a chore to get folks interested in that slog of a clear-fest.

If I qualified for the minimum level, I'd certainly come along. Good luck to those participating!

Just want to say, I haven't decided on if I want to come or not, but the reason isn't because of loot its just because of the time sink. I will say however that the PuG WTOV and HOT leaders think this is a great idea and hope it gets lots of players to attend.

To all the people who don't think it is fair that they don't want to share Tunare pixels, think of the effort it takes to wrangle and manage 60+ other people that don't know the zone or how to raid PoG. It is NOT easy. Then add on managing loot and making sure it goes to the right people and doesnt get ninja'd.

GL out there on Sat I hope yall get the numbers you need for a fast and fun clear.
