I wouldn't particularly describe P99 and old school EQ's raid / loot system as a "buffet of pixels."
Maybe not an "all-you-can-eat" buffet, but the analogy works.

Except were the ones that waited in lines. We both have the same opportunity, we just were more hungry and got there first. You just want to come driving up and go to the front...
There's that myth again, that this somehow entitles you to anything. The guys who log on later are just as worthy as you. It's the staff who set the rules that encourage this race to the bottom.

Don't get me wrong here, I think Detoxx is one of the biggest morans in this joint, but you're pretty out of touch with reality if you think that's how things are supposed to go. And you clearly don't know the definition of entitled. You're the one who thinks you're entitled to mobs and loot if you think you can simply login whenever you want and be granted stuff.

Isn't this how it's supposed to go?:

"Relive the classic Everquest MMORPG Gaming Experience as it was in 1999 and onward. Project 1999 is a free to play Emulated Everquest Server giving Players the opportunity to experience Classic EQ Once again, currently in the Velious expansion and a max level of 60, with the look and feel of the old interface and several modifications making game mechanics similar to how the game used to be. Project 1999 is the best and most popular classic Everquest experience."

Is it entitlement to expect to find what is advertised on the front page? How are things supposed to go if not that and why do you get to decide?

There are a core group of players in this box who monopolize a great deal of content. They're the guys who see am all you can eat restaurant and completely take the piss, shoving food down their shirts on the way out the door.

It takes the server staff to smack some human decency these people. They'll just use and abuse for as long as they can get away with it otherwise.
pigs at the trough is pretty accurate characterization of the blue raid scene

What if Rustle/A/A were wiped off the server?...
hrm what if the top blue guilds were off the server...

Then you would have red server. A place where pixels would be virtually uncontested, but then all the casual guilds would have to post on the forums and convince the GMs to watch them fight... saying stuff like, we don't know the rules, or the rules aren't consistent, just so their pixels don't seem uncontested.

The rules of waiting your turn are pretty convoluted. They'd almost need a list or something.

As a pure spectator and someone that doesn't even have a lvl 60.... this is some interesting stuff, is the raid scene on P99 that volatile? On Fennin Ro back in classic, it was ruthless between my guild and The Mystical Order in Planes of Power, the struggle between top guild and 2nd top guild, TMO was largely top for most of the competition..... but it was never this hostile -- shit's pretty wild. I guess it's just because 1 server houses all these fuckers lol.

No, complaining is just the national sport of Norrath.

I want to see a vote taken, rotation vs FFA for the raid scene, amongst the current guild leaders. Majority rules, baby. If all but one or two guilds agree to rotate, that agreement should be forced on the whiny minority anyways.
