Depends a lot on that. Used to live in upstate NY and now live in LA. Exact same apartment here for $1500 a month would prob be $600 back in my home town. Cost of living varies LOTS. It's not just rent either. I used to go to a pretty nice gym in NY. Swimming pool tanning nice locker rooms. Always clean and well maintained. Could bring a guest with me for free and paid $10 a month. I can't find a gym in LA that isn't a complete pile of shit and even the piles of shit are $30 a month minimum.

People mostly don't have a clue about the poverty in this country/economy and how it interelates with the rest of the world. I might be better off financially in cuba.
