![]() Explain to me why you need to con people you are healing.
If you're healing them, they are likely in your group. If they are in your group, they likely range between +/- 5 levels from your level. If they range +/- 5 levels then their HP relative to yours will be pretty similar. The main difference being gear and class. So knowing their class /who and inspecting them, are far better avenues to assess what amount of healing is necessary. Or... You could just figure out class/level of everyone when joining the group then spend a few minutes feeling out their HP pools (Or just inspect them and see what kind of gear they have). I really fail to understand the need for con being listed in your target window.

Since we not all 60 here, con is important to see if you healing a green pet or blue/red pet. Why heal a pet? If I know the chanter is next on aggro list, yes I will heal the red pet offtanking a mob ->protecting my chanter. If its green pet, I move to healing the chanter right away cause dmg will come in. When you get lom, you wanna heal a lightblue target or a red one? Lets say you raid in PoH with some lowbies (like me), as a new player in the community and a cleric, I don't get to spend a few minutes "feeling out" their HP pools. I have to heal HERE AND NOW and be on the ball. So I choose my targets. Triage sucks but its an important part of keeping the core of a raid alive. So con and cycling can make the difference between someone playing a cleric and someone who is a cleric. <3 Bring back the con colored box~!

![]() Healing a pet sounds like a horrible idea...
If the mob doesn't summon, root it, save your mana healing pets and chanters. If it does summon, get a knight or ranger to aggro it off enchanters (that's kind of their only role on a raid/in a group). Alternatively, use stuns to pull aggro/mitigate damage as a cleric since you can self heal and tank until said enchanter locks the mob down. Every raid has downtime and you are often medding. Run up to someone, inspect them by right clicking (which may even con them for you) and check out what kind of gear they have. You'll figure out really quick who gets a remedy and who gets a complete heal. And yes, I play 2 priests. I heal often in raids and occasionally if I group. I never found myself needing a con color indicator. I understand the need to heal here and now, but EQ really isn't a fast paced game. ESPECIALLY P99. You have time before the raid to figure out classes levels and gear quality of those you're raiding with, and if someone new or late arrives you can figure that stuff out in short order. Otherwise just Remedy til the cows come home.

I don't see how anyone can seriously argue that the game would be more fun played with it.

I think it was a pointless thing to remove tbh; as long as we're using these updated ui the game will never feel classic.
