I think they tend to build those games around 16 hour binge sessions being common. If it didn't take fucking forever to do something in those games everyone would max their shit out in like 2 weeks.

Have to agree. Should have learned my lesson with Aion but when leveling was relatively fast I didn't think it'd be as bad.

Yeah I will never play another Korean MMO. There seems to be a recent surge of old school RPG devs making new games on Kickstarter so hopefully a few of those actually get to see the light of day.

With EQ next looking less and less like a viable option, and the popularity of emulated mmorpg's that are more challenging, I really do hope someone captures the niche market share for these gamers.
I think the key is, people who and an in-depth and challenging MMO will, for the most part, gladly sacrifice stunningly amazing graphics and physics. So many of these games try to look and feel so amazing that they spend millions on it and when the game comes out it is the same diluted game play we've seen over and over that eventually flops just like it's predecessors.

Looking at the Pathfinder MMO? Could be interesting.

Just signed up for pathfinder will try and check it out when I can.
I'm super leery of playing games in Alpha stage because often it puts a bad taste in my mouth and then I never play it when it's in full launch status.

Tend to agree. Have a friend that donated pretty heavily on the kickstarter but I don't think he's touched it.
