Adults who claim superiority based on where they live, anything more immature?
I would like to know how many, and which, if any, countries you have been to outside of the United States.

I've seen you claim superiority based on your geography - in that you think the United States is superior to all other countries.

Two open seas: Atlantic and Pacific

No other fortress is so secure.

I think she being sentimental, not literal.
Either way, I find it interesting

I don’t know that much legal stuff, but I did serve on 2 different juries, one criminal 2 day’er and one civil one day’er. In the criminal I was nominated as lead juror to organize the group and read our conclusion, because I was apparently pretty good at keeping the group talking, productive, on topic, and mediating any arguments/disagreements

Prior to any of this, as both attorneys decide on jury members we are all given a list of topics that the case pertains to (some pretty indirectly) and asked to announce any pre-existing biases. This seems like a quick way to get home because at least one of the attorneys isn’t going to like any biases whatsoever and I believe both have to agree on the selection (although my memory hazy, it’s been years)

Yet, an attorney in court announces what could be construed as an obvious bias, and gets away with it? I understand maybe it was meant in the figurative sense such as “I am for democracy” or some cheesy virtuous shit like that. But to wear a shirt of an obvious political movement which the defendant has been in a physical and legal feud with for years, the optics of that seem astoundingly bad to me

/shrug

Meh I think this as well but it’s just patriotism. I’m sure on paper there’s all sorts of categories the US lags on, but it’s like saying you think you have the prettiest wife or the best family in the world

Attorneys don't do the justicing and really ought to be biased in favor of their client(s).

It would be a big problem if a juror did it and they'd likely be kicked for an alternate.

Also somewhere at the bottom of the article it said the defense attorney also said to the jury that she is going to “remember them” or “who they are” in a way that could be possibly construed with an implied threat of doxxing and future harassment

I forgot the exact statement and am too lazy to pull it up but once again, terrible optics

Well that same attorney also was apparently quitting the industry and said that this was their last case if I remember that article you linked yesterday or the day before or whatever it was. Representing antifa is also a great way to ruin your reputation with the state, so any lawyer willing to go public with representing antifa heroes is okay in my book. Idealist lawyer beats public defender, every time.

Oh ya my bad, I had misread as Andy Ngo’s public defender. He’s usually on the receiving end of lawsuits and harassment, I forgot in this case he was the one suing. Lol disregard
