there was already a no rules pvp server, and the pop went from 120 to about 30 within a week or two.

and then within 4-6 weeks the server was dead and stagnant except for a few SZ retards that then started complaining about the dwindling population.

the server only slowly began to recover when some common sense rules were reapplied.

(u guys can piss and moan about it all you want, but these are facts. and as facts, they are not disputable).

What social repercussions have occurred for the masses of caught cheaters?

They were deguilded, ostracized, and chain trained, right?

No? It hasn't?! Your entire argument for trying to ask for the ability to police yourselves has failed already.
Right but they cheat the game, not someone in their own guild.

There is a difference between no rules at all though, and a hands off approach which doesnt mean that there is absolutely no rules. It doesnt have to be lots of rules or no rules at all. There can be a middle ground.

I think ninja looting is one of those instances where matters should be settled by players themselves, along with scamming.

by no rules, i was referring to pvp rules.

things like mq, 4boxxing, exploiting, hacking, was ALWAYS against the rules.

my above post was referring to pvp rules being removed, not all rules

PVP rules, meaning what?

I mean I mentioned that obvious exploits like finding a spot where a raid mob cant hit you, are the kind of things that should be rule breaking.

meaning the only things that were illegal at that time were;

3rd party programs
exploiting
hacking
multi-boxxing
RMTing

and it was an absolute death sentence for the server

I meant what were the rules that were removed?

To me we should be looking at this on a case by case basis, as in rule by rule basis.

I think ninja looting should not be a thing to be suspended over, and part of the spirit of what a hardcore pvp server constitutes of.

You deal with the consequences of your actions, sandbox style.

The quote of heartbrand really nails why it shouldnt be illegal, and i think straightforward ninja looting should not be something GMs interfere with either.

Another point I've agreed with since day 1 of this server even being mentioned.

I'm taking flak from all directions.

Sirken agrees with me, come at me bros.
