I receive buffs normally and never even ask for them at the tunnel. I also died in front of a bunch of people the other day at the tunnel even though I shouted that I was running the the tunnel and needed help.
But I didn't get mad, I didn't whine or get frustrated- I looted my corpse and moved on with life. It is not a reflection of the community here if you died and no one helped you or if you asked for buffs and no one buffed you. This is classic Everquest: YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN The thing that makes this game and community great is other players help you because they WANT to help you, not because they didn't help you when you wanted them to help you. *shrug* If I ever see you in trouble, and I am not AFK, I will help ya. And I strongly doubt anyone else on this server wouldn't follow suit! You probably were just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Amazing how some people absolutely believe, like religion, it's the responsibility of everyone else do for them and be there for them whenever they demand it.
AFK in EC tunnel for ten minutes when they demand of you? Don't log in to hold the hand of someone else with your time and effort? You actual want to play a game for your own enjoyment? NAY! You are a terrible, horrible awful, rotten, no good, bigot person thing.

crazy to not see continuously asking for buffs as not begging. certainly sounds like it to me

"Please help save me from this mummy (or air elemental)" then I'd die at their feet. I didn't complain about it though, I just pictured my character dying with one hand grasping their afk ankle as they stand over me
