06/25/2015 - General V'ghera
I was sitting in the Seafarers' Roost in Freeport having a pint with my faithful comrade-in-arms, Dogofwarjr. The tavern wenches had long since stopped serving us. Not due to our inebriated states (we were far from drunk) but due to the pinches and winks. Dog is an uncultured barbarian warrior from the north and I...well let's just say that my mother taught me how to behave around women but her lessons did not make the impression upon me she had hoped.

Log in or Register.] We were boasting to each other of our exploits (I have a feeling that most of Dog's exploits were true, very few of mine were) when we received an urgent message from our Guild, <Anonymous>. One of the rogues in our guild was ready to kill General V'ghera in the Kithicor Forest and could use all of the help we could muster. Killing General V'ghera was the last step he needed before he could claim his epic weapon, Ragebringer. Thinking of Ragebringer made me think of my own Ragebringer sitting on the table in front of me. Ragebringer is an integral part of being a rogue. It defines you. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] My guildmate has worked long and hard to earn Ragebringer and is more than deserving of my help. Dog and I looked at each other. I sheathed my Ragebringer and without a word, we leapt to our feet and ran out the door. Then we ran back in because we forgot to pay. Then we ran back out the door again. The Kithicor Forest was several miles from Freeport but we were bound and determined to help. Thankfully, as we were leaving Freeport we bumped into a druid who kindly granted us the Spirit of the Wolf. We felt faster. Nay! We were faster! We hurried through East Commonlands ignoring the cries of other adventurers hocking the booty they had acquired in their travels. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] We raced past the druid rings in West Commonlands where wood elf, halfling, and half elf druids (I even thought I spotted a human druid) were trying to interest travelers in teleports to far off lands. Log in or Register.] This frightening land is tame during the day but at night, it becomes Innoruuk's playground. His minions roam free, attacking those who venture here with a frenzy. Dog and I surreptitiously made our way to the entrance to Rivervale (the land of the halflings) where we met up with our Guildmates. Our Guildmates were looking resplendent in gear they had recently obtained from the planes. And they were thirsty for battle. Dog and I found a group and prepared ourselves for battle. In just a few minutes, General V'ghera was pulled to camp and the battle commenced in earnest. General V'ghera is an exceptionally powerful Dark Elf. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] We started chipping away at him while he delivered punishing blows to our main tank, Odaks. In my rage, I must have stepped too close to General V'ghera because he immediately turned and delivered a series of blows to me that immediately incapacitated me and sent me back to my bindpoint in the Field of Bone. I waited in the Field of Bone for resurrection and I watched the messages from <Anonymous>. Odaks required a heal. And another. And another. I had no idea whether the battle was going poorly or in our favor. My nerves were raw with anticipation when Guildmates started whooping and congratulating our rogue on acquiring his epic drop. Seconds later, I was revived and at my feet I saw two corpses. My own and General V'Ghera's. I looted my gear while congratulating our rogue and a few short minutes later, he announced that he had claimed his Ragebringer! I was weary and needed rest after all of the sitting in Field of Bone. I chose to not go with the rest of <Anonymous> to the Lake of Ill Omen to help destroy Xenovorash for our monk's epic drop. With an elite group like <Anonymous> at his back, I have no doubt that he had Xenovorash's demon fangs in his hands before the night was through. [You must be logged in to view images. great night up in sky last night, Our second official night up there and we are farming spiroc lord now with ease. All of our warriors got their blades and a plethora of other items were raining from...the...sky? i guess?
Hopefully on to bees this coming week or next ! | ||
