Default +2 for Knukkle!

I would take that or exponentiation because every element of the analogy is a common noun.

Level 4:

A compound word is a word that consists of two separate words which put together produce the compound word. Examples are paper/clip and lady/bug. What compound word means exactly the same as each of the words that make it up?

[Hint: 4 letters, then 3 letters]

This doesn't fit in with your hint, but it's pretty close:

Fore/front

**Edit**

I just went through a list of over 2000 compound words and I can't seem to figure out what word you are talking about. What the hell is it? I'm probably going to feel daft when you say it.

I'd say fore/front is pretty damn close also. The only downside is that "fore" is typically used to refer to the front of a boat or ship. It doesn't have a "universal" meaning. The word I'm thinking of does, anywhere in the world.

Another hint: transportation, especially in a city.

Well yeah that works too, but if you are gong to argue that "fore" suggests boat, cab could also suggest the cab of a truck. Maybe it's a regional thing, but in Los Angeles I don't hear a lot of people going around calling a cab(taxi), but there are plenty of trucks with extended cabs or crew cabs or king cabs..

But I get your point.
