GM event today
Lanys T'Vyl paid a visit to the Overthere today and requested help in recovering a staff from the Elder Dragon Lord Kazira.

A bunch of us evils offered our assistance and we all went to Skyfire to 'convince' the dragon that the staff was better off with Lanys.

A brief discussion between Lanys and Lord Kazira resulted in Lanys asking we mere mortals to slay the dragon...which we did.

Lanys recovered the staff and Dorvias N'Keth appeared to convince Lanys to give up the staff to him. Seems there is some division within the dark elf heirarchy :P

Anyway, Lanys and Dorvias fought it out and Lanys fell in battle although she wasn't killed. Lanys then called on her 'army' (that being us) to do her dirty work. We all immediately jumped in and caused Dorvias to flee in terror.

So that was pretty much it. A number of us received coin tokens as rewards which we handed in to NPC's in Neriak and OT for various items. I received Al'Kabors Ring of True Sight and considering that all I did was hit Lanys' enemies a few times and bowed and kneeled a lot I was pretty happy.

Lanys did indicate that there would be need for our help in future and mentioned Befallen and Mistmoore.

I also attended the event and received a coin. VERY dissapointing. I received a Thexian loop : AC 5 effect HAste earring. Whoopie. Does my necro alot of good. Was told by GMs cant be traded in. What a lame reward, you'd think they would give rewards based on class. I'd rather have given this to one of the melee classes that attended. Now I have a melees earring wet dream set sitting in the bank: This hoop and a Sarnak earring of station. Last event I'm goin to, wasnt worth pissing off my wife and getting 3 1/2 hours sleep. I hope everyone else that got coins received something they could actually use.

There was a GM event on Xev, Tuesday Evening. In Qeynos Hills, at the Road marker, Azibelle Spavin appeared and shouted across the zone, searching for an item. ( I ran like heck in circles to find here, got lucky.) The item she desired was given to her by the bard, Icesong. She took the item, transformed it with powerful magicks the likes of which is seldom seen in this low level zone, and returned it to Icesong, with instructions to assemble a group of compatriots to assist in safeguarding the items transport to the Wizard Spires in Northern Karanas. We were instructed that we could not gate or teleport, as it would upset the delicate balance of the item in its magical jar......

Icesong made his selection, partly based on the fastest typing volunteers, as there were now 3 times the normal number of people in this zone gathered around the marker.... and off we went!

Autofollow was the order of the day, with SOWS and Selos all around. We choose the River route to avoid encounters.... we had a level 5 in the group....and with all haste ( we had 12 game hours to move the distance) we hauled collective posteriors to the wizzie spires.

There, we met Meldrath the Malignant! All the way from Steamfont, waiting to take posession. Bells and whistles were screaming in our head, as we expected our doom to descend upon us..... We sensed a trap, as a few of our number had encountered this gnome necromancer before..... But Nyxx, a necro in our group vouched for him and we Cautiously approached..... We gave him the jar, recieved his thanks, and were each in turn given a silver coin and told:

Meldrath says, 'Take these coins to Jaylia the Faithful in Northern Qeynos, she will recognize you as heroes and reward you"

As our necro was KOS in Qeynos, he was told: Meldrath says, 'Nyxx you will need to take your coin to Vorshaar the Despised in Neriak'

We then proceeded to retrace our steps to Qeynos, and quickly located Jaylia. Each of us recieved a different reward (listed below). We then ported to WC and Nyxx went to Neriak. After an extensive search, aided by a number of us logging out and creating DE characters to assist looking, the elusive Vorshaar was found!

Overall, we had a great time, though we expected to be attacked and wiped out at any moment..... Almost all of us were very pleased with our rewards..... the coins that we recieved were labeled Coin of Tranquility, Coin of Faith, Coin of Gallantry....... Here is what we have received below... I have yet to find any reference on ANY site to ANY of the items....

IceSong 19 Bard ( Leader ) Lady Zavo's Ring of Boosting, +3 to ALL STATS, +3 to ALL RESISTS, +35hps +35 mana no drop.

Crillen 21 Druid Adept Collar of Dhorentath AC 6 WIS +10, +10 hps. (neck) no drop

Wolwin 5 Druid Ring of (?) 4AC, +5 CHA, 20 Mana no drop (As he was twinked from his 33 Pally alt he was rather upset with this item)

Nyxx 28 Necro Ognits Aqua Collar 8AC, Effect Enduring Breath LORE, all/all (NOT no drop!)

Vanmoore 45 Druid Azibelles Scarf of the Night 8AC +30hps +10 ALL RESISTS neck, no drop

Aenea 30 Monk Thexian Loop, AC 5 wt 0.1 HASTE earring, LORE no drop

The exact amount of haste is unknown, but I beleive that it is noticeable.. i will test it out later.... After a short discussion, we decided that the rewards were definately based on level and class... and that depending on the amount of haste, I may have gotten the better end of the deal!

Yes, the same GM event happened on Thouluxe Paells and i, being a 19 Druid, got Dabner's staff of Privity its: 12dmg. 33dly. +10 WIS. and +8 to SV disease, cold and fire! its pretty cool but would be better if it wasn't 2hb which i have necer used before)

The same event took place on the Luclin Server. Our group was made up of many more high levels, as no one in Qeynos Hills at the time cared...
Our group was a 34th Mage, a 44th Druid, a 23rd Warrior, a 6th Monk, a 50th Wizard, and a 9th Bard. The items were the following

Bard:a sword. 7dmg 25delay 5str 30mana (no drop)
Monk:Dovan's cloak of the Mortals. 5ac 5str 5dex 3int 3wis 15svFire 15svCold 15svMagic.
Mage:Earring of the Oakwynds. 5ac 5cha 3dex 10hp.
Wizard:Thexian Hoop. 5ac Effect:Haste
Warror:an earring. 3ac 5str 5dex 5stam
The druid's item I don't know, he camped right after it.

I was the mage(dark elf), and I knew I would most likely get a not-so-good Mage item, and I was right =/ But all in all it was very fun, and it was nice for the Low and High-levels to come together for a quest =P
