I grew up in CT where you could go for boston sports team or NY sports teams. My dad's corporate HQ at the time was in cherry hill, NJ and he had corporate tix to the nets, so I grew up going to the swamp [meadowlands] to nets games, so I became a nets fan. I was a pats fan because my dad is from mass. and liked all boston teams, including the celts.
