@Nilbog - I'm connected via WIFI on my laptop. Other than that, I'm playing in full screen mode with no custom UI or anything. I'll try connecting directly to the router when I'm playing and let you know.

FYI: I actually haven't crashed while zoning in the last couple days of playing, though it was really bad at launch and the first week.
