Why wait the 12 hours for Hadden to maybe have the earring? I see a lot of players in the tunnel trying to selling the earring for 2K and no one is buying. If you're high enough level to camp Hadden, then you can come up with 2K in 12 hours.

Also, as for him having the earring? Was he holding a fishing pole? If so, then no earring.
