Free Speech is the bedrock of freedom. It's a worthy ideal to strive for in all of humanity, not just for "government". In order for one to be able to think, one must risk being offensive/offended.

I love free speech, but humans have within them the capability to be too annoying, stupid, and/or weird to allow any public space without moderation
As Louis CK joked, all it takes is a single word, and you can ground an airplane in flight. And that word is not bomb, or anything violent. You can simply say the word "DOWN", over and over...and if you do not stop saying it, they will land the fucking plane. That's the kind of power words can have, when you get really really annoying with them If free speech > all, then people should be allowed to spam chat rooms and message boards with ads. Or any kind of spam So if we agree that certain things need to be blocked, then free speech really can't exist without moderation. The rest is just deciding what to block | ||
