Every Day She Takes A Morning Bath To Wet Her Hair, Wraps A Towel 'round Her As She's Heading For The Bedroom Chair, It's Just Another Day. Slipping Into Stockings, Stepping Into Shoes, Dipping In The Pocket Of Her Raincoat. It's Just Another Day. At The Office Where The Papers Grow She Takes A Break, Drinks Another Coffee And She Finds It Hard To Stay Awake, So Sad, So Sad, Sometimes She Feels So Sad. Alone In Her Apartment She'd Dwell, Till The Man Of Her Dreams Comes To Break The Spell. Ah, Stay, Don't Stand Her Up And He Comes And He Stays But He Leaves The Next Day, So Sad. Sometimes She Feels So Sad. As She Posts Another Letter To The Sound Of Five, People Gather 'Round Her And She Finds It Hard To Stay Alive, It's Just Another Day. Du Du Du Du Du It's Just Another Day. Du Du Du Du Du It's Just Another Day. So Sad, So Sad, Sometimes She Feels So Sad. The Democrats are coastal elites. Spoiled and rotten. That's the Left now. Maybe you didn't get the memo. I know you're acting like an old grandma, but today's Left is much different than the Pro-Worker party of yesteryear. | |||

Your second point has merit, but carries a particularly dark sense nihilistic connotation (i.e. we cannot be proud of what we are because it was not our choice to be). I tend to look at pride as a form of gratitude unto our forbears, whether we enter this world by choice or not, it is those who came before us who are responsible for where we are. I attribute a lot of the way a feel about pride and group fidelity to the strong devotion I've been shown by a handful of individuals close to me throughout my life. Each would lay down their life in my defense and overlook my shortcomings while guarding me against my adversaries. that is deeply admirable. that admiration does not however extend to those who arbitrarily extend their fidelity along racial lines, however I can understand how one might fall into that mindset, particularly if his mind is already empty and he feels he is alone.
