You're spinning a post about Daybreak cashing in on old IP and intentionally slowing XP rates for profits versus Brad McQuaid trying to crowdfund for a new one that a lot of people are looking forward to. They aren't the same thing.

It's exactly the same thing. You can buy xp pots to increase your xp rate on a daybreak server or you can buy a kickstarter package for pantheon and increase your xp rate on p99.

How do you not get that?

It isn't the same thing. I quoted Daybreak as saying "Shut up and buy things, especially XP pots"... because they slowed the XP rate and want to cash in a bit more. Good on them.

Their intention is profiting on an old IP they've bought.

Brad's intention was building something new that everyone wants to enjoy and see.

Apparently Brad's intention was to feed a very nasty habit and take as much money as he could with him. That thread predated the last set of "issues".

I'd love someone to make an oldschool mmorpgs with new technology. But, that someone can't be Brad McQuaid. I have no idea why anyone would trust him with their money. You should know better. The thread Uuruk linked is full blown cringe. People donating hundreds of dollars to a scam.

Live EQ is pure pay to win at this point. Most the people on Agnarr are only there for kronos. Phinny's population is downsloping now right on schedule. Apparently there is a limit to how far you can push throwback servers after all.

Swish's current sig gif is really good though.

best part was after he jacked the money he told everyone it was for pills when he said as part of his explanation that "he was used to a certain quality of life".
