100% and we do that in florida, but thats not what the bills being proposed do, that's already allowed in most states to deny people the use of your restroom if it's marked as private
the Vietnamese nail salon I worked in for awhile we use to deny people from metropcs all the time because their customers were messy and low class (sorry my boss was a strong strict Vietnamese woman, she was cool but she didn't like low class people pooping all over her nice salon) The north caroline bill would make this both illegal and require that salon to have gendered bathrooms............. when one unisex single occupancy bathroom was fine.
What's wrong with this, nothing really. Problem is trans people are getting singled out by businesses and these laws when the law doesn't otherwise need to even reference them.
Also most of the backlash politically and financially in the lobby department against these laws is coming from businesses.
This whole thing is politicians 101 putting everyone at risk over what use to be not a big deal to either look cool or pass other bills or draw attention away from other bills.
