Look, don't get me wrong. I don't hate soldiers. Someone has to do it, and I respect any individual who wears the uniform. What I don't respect is what those soldiers are being ordered to do by our corporate prostitute politicians: basically, subjugate other cultures in order to make them safe for corporate pillaging. It's about the money. It's all about the money. I understand that you didn't sign up for that purpose, but that is what you're being ordered to do. It's not tinfoil hattery, it's not conspiracy. It's completely obvious to anyone willing to look at the situation objectively. Why the hell would we spend trillions of dollars to occupy two countries to "democratize" them? Why those two countries specifically? Why don't we do the same thing in Africa? I'll tell you why: Iraq and Afghanistan have a shitload of extremely profitable resources.

Quick history quiz. You're a Marine, you tell me the official reason why the US fought in the Boxer Rebellion in China. Then I'll tell you the truth of why we fought there.

At first it was to reopen the English opium trade when the Chinese had the audacity to outlaw it's sale and try to kick the Europeans out of their own country. The looting came later. Our Marines were there to help.

It's no different than any job. You get told what to do from the top man. A good soldier/marine follows his orders.
And I can't see how it's a problem to inhabit provinces that are profitable.....

Then there's no reason to discuss anything with you any further. If you can't see any problem morally, or ethically, with slaughtering innocent civilians to make rich men richer, then you're just a fucking robot, and a sociopath. The German soldiers who slaughtered the Jews in WW2 said the same thing. You're no better than them.
