Necro or druid to solo and group with
I'm stuck on which one of these to go with, as I usually like to do an equal mix of grouping and soloing, and eventually raiding. Do people want necros in groups at later levels, or would I be better off switching to druid? I'm only level 20 on the necro and have grouped a bit, but mostly all I can do is cc, heal, and pet damage. As much as I've enjoyed fear kiting, I'm wondering if druid would be a better pick for me where getting groups is concerned.
Before people suggest shaman instead, I should mention that while they fit my needs very well, I've leveled one to 55 and it was just way too active for me. I enjoy p99 for its slow pace and the constant cannibalize was a little too much to want to keep going to 60.

necro 100%
if all you can do is heal / CC / pet dmg you're doing great - sprinkle in some charming undead later can twitch your group healer too

Agree with necro, in fact I've been thinking about rolling one myself. Especially since you already leveled one to 20. I was shocked at how effective necro healing was for groups at high levels. I found they were the best healer to have for Chardok groups outside of cleric (better than both druid and shaman).
I think necros aren't as often thought of for groups not because of a lack of value add but because most necros decide to solo their way up to 60 and never show off their skills in front of a group. Excellent solo class, excellent group class, very safe class to play with FD, desirable for raid forces with twitches and pet/FD shenanigans.

necros get a bad rep because shitters just sit there and send their pet in like a mage

Necro is better for grouping and soloing. They make surprisingly potent healers later in the game. Dps is good without charming, great with charming. Probably one of the most underestimated classes in this game for the reason Tox already posted: shitters.
You won’t be disappointed.

Necro is the better choice. They are great soloers, a great group class and useful on many raids, esp. if you're willing to do some DAing and pet training. Druid is all around worse and falls off quite a bit in the later levels unless you're charming somewhere. They have ports, sow and mid heals and buffs going for them though. Feel free to like Druid better, but Necro is super solid.

I levelled a necro up to 65 on live. Got a Quarm neck and that kinda jazz.
What really sold me on necro, though, is grouping with good ones on p99. Especially on my ranger. Druid is cool but necro is fire.
