Rebalancing of bad items.

Rabalancing of rewards for some quests.

Rebalancing zones to incentivize leaving the normal path.

New classes on other races.

There are so many storythreads that are open that could lead into some really cool content out there.

Challenge flags for characters. Self Found, hard core. Stuff like that.

No joke I'd actually design/write quest lines for some good custom content if I was asked (nobody gonna ask)... with some level relevant rewards. And yeah if that gets people into some zones they normally wouldn't end up in then even better.

I've mentioned it before but also a casino bot giving out a chance at a legacy item (character bound perhaps) at some very long odds for 500pp/1kpp a ticket would help the mudflation.

I have ideas for a custom server that reitemizes and repopulates classic EQ for a kind of fresh experience (with new quests and all) but I can't imagine trying to recreate all of Nilbog and Rogeans work to bring EQEmu down from Titanium nonsense back to classic.

Even beyond timeline items, there are a ton of special event items that have never made their way onto P99 which could serve as a natural bank of ready-made items for this purpose. Most of them fit within their respective era's itemization and generally aren't overpowered; the exceptions could be omitted or made exceptionally more rare.

Another thing is to finish the Terrorantula quest - clearly, it was tied to that bug quest guy in Misty. Some of the boss mobs that do/drop absolutely nothing could use some items/quests added to them.
