Do I want some doofus running around my High Fantasy world in a John Wick skin just because they sold it to him, the answer is a firm no. I despise all of this and the lack of Windows engines.

Speaking of Windows, you are asking for a EQ3 but don't set the foundation correctly by stating it must be for Windows only. It can't be multiplatform, controller options, and still be called Everquest.
