So I just realized for my stats I put 10 in str and 10 in Int. Is my agility being at 70 going to be a problem? Should I remake my char to put some points in agil or can i compensate for that later?

Bags can only hold things of a certain size. As people mentioned, there are bags that are specified as giant. Realistically, you're not going to fill up 8 backpacks worth of stuff without hitting your weight limit so leave 2-3 slots for big stuff.

I always carry about 3-4 medicine bags and leave the rest of the slots open for anything that won't fit.........medicine bags weigh a lot less than other bags/containers I would advice upgrading to them as soon as you can

Same advice I would give. Get 3-4 medicine bags. They weigh less than backpacks (.4 vs 3) and leave the rest of your bag slots open. No real need to have more than 4 bags when starting out. Later, when you can get decent weight reduction bags you can increase your bag count to 5 or 6 but I would always leave 1-2 slots open for quest containers, trading containers with other players and clicky items.

Welcome to the server BTW. If you are looking for a friendly and helpful guild feel free to look me up in game for an invite. Check my sig for more info about our guild. Have fun!

This is my first time playing everquest in probably 15 years. Hoping to get on here to have a good time and meet some people. I'm also fairly new to everything EQ seeing as it's been so long, so was hoping to find out some things.

I noticed i have only 8 bag slots. Can I get more? Am I missing something obvious here?

How do I actually talk to people in game? As in, talk to global, etc. I was hoping I could chat while I'm slaying spiderlings and such.

It's not the end of the world, but if you're going to reroll... the sooner the better.

Below 75 agi gives a penalty. You can fix it with gear, but the importance of this in relation to your enjoyment is not for anyone to say but you. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

What class are you? SK I assume? If it were me - yeah, I'd reroll and go 5 AGI, 15 STA. Arguments could be made to go something like 5 AGI and then mix the 15 between INT and STA some way, but the 5 AGI is necessary. There's no point putting points in STR since ogres start with ridiculous STR anyway - at later levels even mediocre gear is going to get you to the cap with ease. STR gear is everywhere.

5agi rest in dex imo.
Sta is easy to get up, int means nothing.

But if you don't feel like rerolling anymore, it's really not that hard to pick up some +5 agi item from EC.

Ogres have such a massive stat pool that you can sacrifice a little of one stat for agi. Agi items are cheap for low levels and at higher levels you will have plenty of it inherently from superior gear. I wouldn't reroll.
