Okay do I still need the EQEmulator account then? Because I have been waiting for an e-mail confirmation for 3 hours and it has not sent yet

Yes. I've come to the conclusion that their automatic mailing is down since there is a recent thread with multiple people having the same issue for first time p99 users.

I just created a new Gmail account: https://accounts.google.com/SignUp?s...&utm_medium=ha

I registered a new name at http://www.eqemulator.org/forums/register.php using my new email.

I immediately received the activation email. I clicked the link in my activation email and the account was successfully activated and I was able to access the control panel to create log in accounts.

My suggestion is to clear cookies / cache and try again.
