You can't telnet to UDP ports. Telnet uses TCP.

That isn't a valid test.

On loginserver port 5998 TCP is used exclusively for worldserver <-> loginserver communications.

OIC.

But for end users - it would at least establish that they can get to that port with TCP, of course, that doesn't necessarily mean UDP will be open outbound, but I guess it's at least one test to give an idea of where to start... [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
