Ive had a 60 rogue and shaman before I quit years back. Two of the best classes imo. I agree with the earlier post...no fungi..no solo for a rogue.

Im looking for a starter kit for my rogue if anyone can hook a brother up let me know...itll be put to good use and greatly appreciated.

Currently at 33 rogue.

With mediocre gear, soloing isn't too bad if you are in an outdoors area with mobs a level above LB, or even LB.

LB's are pretty much guaranteed to have intimidate land on them, so you can mow them down quickly with BS without losing any life at all.

This isn't ideal obviously, but some nights it'll seem like all the usual grouping spots are filled up, so it is an option.

I have a rogue and if your soloing and you get as close as possible to mobs then run past em and back up they will turn around long enough to land backstabs this works most of the time. Timing is what its all about though.

Get a fungi, max intimidation and you can solo up to 51.

They are in the same boat as warriors, pretty much requiring a group 20+ without thousands of plat worth of gear. I'm sure this is an unappealing concept for a lot of new p99er's.

On the other hand, it's very easy to find groups here contrary to popular belief, and rogues are always welcomed party members [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
It's sad that so many people find rogues unappealing because they can't solo. Rogues aren't a solo class (except for twinks with fungis and epic maybe). I grouped the whole way up in banded, ravenscale, and mithril (no epic til 47) and had a blast. I met lots of fun people (and no one cared I wasn't twinked out). Nothing against twinks, btw.. to each their own.

I remember 30-45 being kind of a pain trying to find groups sometimes though. That was like a year ago, not sure how it is nowadays.
