Default UI covered in random icons

Recently whenever I type in chat, click on anything in my UI windows, or try to press hotkeys my UI gets covered in abunch of random ingame icons.

I hadn't messed with my EQ files in months prior to this happening, so nothing I installed would be to blame, and I've even completely reinstalled since and it still happens.

UI bugs are client side and have nothing to do with the server. If you already reinstalled it is probably a graphics card/driver issue.

Still seems odd that this would just come up out of the blue since I haven't had problems before. Gonna update drivers and see what happens

do you have another video card laying around that you can switch out to see if that fixes it?

To me it sounds like your video card overheating and screwing up your UI or your drivers went corrupt. reinstall fresh drivers and if that doesnt work maybe try and crappy backup Video card if you have one?

Moved to technical discussion.

Maybe try a more stressful game to see if your card is affected, or a gpu benchmarking program. Monitor the temp http://www.gputemp.com/ . Make sure the fan on your card is spinning obv. Good luck.
