You know Alarti, you remind me of a class I had in Western Civilization. I was taught the 'Socratic Method' as just asking 'why why why' over and over again. Suppose I am wrong, though and only 1/3 is 50+. That still leaves 500 players across the high level zones. More than enough to hold everything down.

Meanwhile lets look at your own guild. According to your roster you have 112 people who are more or less active. Suppose you have 50-60 come back for Velious and that the average play time is 8 hours per day. 180/3 = 60 on at all times. So you can have 40 wiping to Aaronyar and 20 holding down say East ToV 24/7.

I suppose you are just anxious to forget those Droga days [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] I rememer some hilarious threads about TMO spies back in the day.

edit: I would like to add that I don't have any huge issues with how TMO behaves as a guild. You guys at least sell the stuff don't need on the market, even if your prices are outrageous. In the end you guys can play however you want as long as you abide by the server rules. My problem is with the system that forces players to compete on tracking hours and the desire to batphone in to kill stuff at 3AM.

See the problem is where you fudge numbers. Why are you assuming 8 hour a day play times?

Just say you think there will be alot of camping of higher targets or items. Making it a TMO thing is pointless. Everyone will want the same items. The only things TMO will be monopolizing are the things only TMO will be killing.

Well, I just did a /who and there were "too many" tmo on to list. Lets say thats 25 out of your 112 members which would imply 6 hours a day not 8. Of course perhaps there are 30+ on which would still give 8 hours a day. And people will be playing more, not less, in Velious obviously. Of course this isn't an iron clad proof.

And of course I'm sure the guild that cockblocked to the absolute best of their ability in Kunark is going to do less in Velious (locket of escape mean anything to you?).

I'm really starting to wonder if your constant cries of 'more evidence' are simply your version of trolling.

p.s. I'm sure all the other guilds will be cockblocking too, so this isn't a dig on TMO. Hell I remember Divinity handing off the chancellor camp.

Yeah, those numbers would be assuming they had some sort of job outside of raiding. 12 hours is a much more accurate assumption.

If you say most of your members don't have 8 hours to play per day you will also say that your guild doesn't have 10,000 lockets of escape.

Why does every thread devolve into a TMO hate thread? You guys realize the title of the thread is about how much gems will fucking cost?

If TMO broke up tonight another guild would just step in and take over their spot. GET THE FUCK OVER IT.

I don't have any problems with TMO. They are playing with the stupid variance framework which is what I really have a problem with.

In this thread I simply answered the OP's question by making a prediction that there will be massive douchebaggery going on when Velious launches: every guild will try to hold down camps 24/7 as much as they can, and the huge high-leveled well-geared returning player base will allow everyone to do this. TMO will be more effective at it probably but everyone will try just because the competition will be so fierce.

Alarti is simply pissing into the wind trying to troll me.

I can confirm both actually, we do not have 10,000 lockets of escape and most of our members don't play 8 hours a day. I'd put money down that most of our members don't even play 4 hours a day.
