The idea of it all is great. Spawns need to be turned up 100x to make the game fun. Sitting for 10 minutes and killing a few mobs then sitting because 7 groups are camping the same thing as you gets old.

I don't care whether the project is truly "classic" or not. That doesn't matter. I care that my experience and perception of the gameplay is as close to it was during the classic period as possible. This necessitates certain changes that are not classic, because we as players are not our classic selves.
The argument of whether XYZ is classic or not is entirely irrelevant. The devs do not care, as is clearly shown by their decisions. That's a good thing, imo, and I'm glad they have continued to make choices that are not always popular. The success of this project should demonstrate to all of us that a measure of faith in the devs is surely not unwarranted.

"Classic Experience" - those two words mean a lot of different things to a lot of different people. For some, that means removing a lot barriers, like hybrid xp penalties while keeping the world limited. For others, it means bring back every exploit they missed out on. We all have ideas on what we want, some are just happy to be here. Lots of ways to skin a Kerran.
End of the day, we all here on the forums and in game because we are passionate for what we have here. We want the best version of the game. And if some folks are a little ragey about it, well, at least we have god for that in game. | ||
