Sitting in ec is far more passive. You cant compare them unless you knew he was fully immersed and actively wayching his tunnel questing.
Otherwise, its safe to assume hes using audio triggers when he gets a tell and simply alt tabbing in to spam. Even the most trivial hg farming session is magnitudes more effort.
