Pets in Kedge
In kedge, pets only attack mobs when they are attacked or when you are; unless the pet is within something like 0 range of the mob when told to attack. There is no message "Jabarab says, 'Attacking %T Master'"
Simply, the pet attack key isn't working. Makes it pretty unplayable as a pet class.

Yeah, when we killed Phinny a few times it was absolute fucking torture trying to get my pet to attack him.

I agree with this post 100%. Was in Kedge the other night helping a guildee and I couldnt get my pet to attack anything. (I am a mage)

the only good zone is an enchanter free zone [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
but yeah, kedge has always been fucked like this. when you target a mob, it doesnt always work either. you have to keep retargeting to get the current health of a mob and to be able to attack, plays a real bitch when you try to get phinny but you cant keep him targeted. simple fix would be to drain kedge, make it a normal no-water dungeon. bam!

I can confirm virtuousos target bug, as well. Also worth mentioning that the lack of ability to throw range weapons makes it tough to pull as a monk, but it's nothing compared to playin a pet class there.

You have to be in melee range to be able to send pet in.
Same with HP bar. Have to be in melee range and do a tab back and forth to get it to update. And yes, it's a pain.

Oh, I thought I searched before posting this but it does seem like this is a known/unfixable bug. Shame ;/
