Well, I guess they continued making ancients in luclin, but they were around in velious too.

That post at the bottom was made like 9 months after SoL was released. I know that SoE went back and added some spells from some expansions to other mobs in different expansions of equivalent difficulty. IE:

It may be possible some Ancients were added prior to SoL but I don't recall it being that way.
