Eve Online requires a massive amount of time to get to where you can accomplish things. Yes, it's newbie friendly and yes new players can start off doing missions right off the bat, but that's all you can do effectively, mission. A 1 week old character will never be good in PvP because a 2 week character will have much more SP then he does. The 2 week player will pull more DPS and have a higher rate of fire if he's training correctly.
I played this game for 5 years and now... well... I just don't see the fun in it.

so someone who gets a head start has an advantage? well derpty derp derp derp. what if all the 2 week player's SP (skillpoints for people who dont know wtf that is) went to mining or maybe he was pvp "speced" but put points in the wrong places. sp only goes so far, just like gear, levels, and spells for eq. thats not even touching the ship the players in, how its fit, and most importantly player skill. this goes for any game, you would think that someone who has played this game for 5 years would understand. not to mention there are counters to everything. learn 2 game?
