Only thing I can see is because of the ambiguity of vowel pronunciation in indefinitive words (such as names (and yes I made that term up)). However, that'd be
Shanna (like shhh, anna, grown ups talking!) vs Shahnna (like shhh, on gnarly trips like this, you gotta have a buddy)
