Hm,

SK: XP penalty. Questionable use for Guise once you get skellie illusion. No gate to get around. Pretty poor solo class. Hybrid and race penalty may get you the cold hand from groups.

Monk: Humans are cute but Iksars are better. CBA waiting until Kunark and even then the ST robe sours the deal, not gonna neckbeard enough to get one and without it you'll never be truly BIS.

Rogue: Weak in classic and you can play a Rogue on current servers and have an easier time without any downside unless maybe you wanna firepot bind for questionable benefit.

Shaman: Not sure if Firepot bind is better than PoM but Guise is certainly useful even if AoN is instant cast, I guess some people enjoy dark elf fashion? Dull grind in classic but later becomes strong. My pick for main if I didn't have a sham already.

Mage: Broken pet research early Classic. Can't really solo well past 54ish and can't dungeon solo other than low level areas for plat. If you enjoy monotonous grinding then Mage is for you. Oh and the Epic is dreadful to get. Definitely cool to have Firepot bind and I guess Guise is sort of neat too. I'm considering mage but only for nostalgia reasons.

Enchanter: Best class on p99. Doesn't gain anything starting in Classic. I have a chanter with Firepot bind and it's a curse. Probably making a new one without because binding outside dungeon saves you so much trouble. Since I don't want to make a class to farm plat so I can "finally play the game" I won't make a chanter.

Paladin: Guise and paladin = sex. Fun quests, items and rewards like Deepwater Harpoon, Ghoulbane, Fiery Defender etc. Epic not too hard. Can solo OK if need be once you have Deepwater helm. Eventually with Velious Raid gear can solo some dungeons. Can split camp and res. Only one problem, no gate is a real bummer. Firepot bind would be difficult to get (especially since Paladins can't farm for crap in Classic) but would be cool since you wouldn't have to find a port most of the time just to go res yourself in case of demise. Eventually some guild is gonna whine about not being WW bound. XP penalty will suck. I am on the fence about Paladin, but considering it.

Ranger: Another great pick for Guise. Only class with serviceable track for ages. Epic easier to obtain early on. A vegetable for most part. No charm animal until late game. I'd consider ranger if I wanted an open world farmer, which I don't.

Cleric: Probably the best class to have Firepot bound. Guise is useful too, unless Dark Elf (which would save you the hassle of wasting 24+ hours on a stupid camp). The issue is Manastone, if you are gonna go for it I'd say cleric is a spectacular choice. I just don't know if I want to commit to such a camp.

Bard: No reason to roll one in classic other than actually playing bard instead of Swarming and learning what a bard can do.

Druid: Another class that could have fun with Guise. Strong and easy leveler. Ports are great. For most points and purposes are wizards that can do more. Not group friendly and can't dungeon solo with some exceptions. Relatively easy epic. Kinda does want that Manastone though... I'd consider it, but the Manastone camp is a pain...

Wizard: Already have one. Decent soloer in classic though. AFK-king.

Necro: No need for guise. Firepot bind probably great seeing how velious zones are pretty bad for necros anyway. No iksar at start, gnome is cute but obviously worse. Iskars are ugly. Otherwise perfect class. Still a no from me.

Warrior: Lol, no.
