Seems like OP is definitely correct and right here and RnF is simply behind the ball on this one. He is innocent and it's def conclusive that his story pans out. It's fine that the vast majority of folks are clearly wrong in their suppositions but it's okay because we're all fallible. I'm typing this on my debian laptop which I just did a fresh install of eq for funsies from a hotel and I can also confirm that my strafe key setup prevents me from even typing the character '8' let alone making an elf run in the topology of the new Meta logo.
