Yellow fever is also *way more* deadly than covid-19. For yellow fever: "20% to 50% of infected persons who develop severe disease die.". Covid is about 1-4% of people who develop severe disease.
The yellow fever vaccine also had a much longer period of development and testing than the current covid vaccines. In other words, you're comparing apples to oranges.
Would you really want to wake up one day and say: "Yay! I never got covid cause I got the vaccine! Sure it gave me pancreatic cancer, but at least I didn't get covid for a week!"
This is what sane people are concerned about; potential undocumented long-term side effects. It's not some nutty alex jones anti-vax conspiracy.
