My entire life has been spent in a peak society with a portion of the population that hates it. Some of them have valid reasons. Your point is worth it's weight but its not something people carry.

Unless cats also evolve and then it will be just like earth, left v right all over again.

But dog planet, I think that is going to be peak society!
