When will...City Council members acknowledge that putting down riots to protect lives and property is a very real function of their elected positions? Keeping mum and refusing to take action in fear of making tough decisions is not governing. It is cowardice. Enough is enough. Show some leadership.

Those are pretty harsh words from Richmond.com/Richmond-Times Dispatch which is pretty liberal as far as media outlets go and generally supportive of whatever the local Democrats are up to.

I'm getting a feeling the continuous alternate media coverage (such as independent streamers) is finally breaking through the 'peaceful protest' mantra being promulgated by the mainstream.
