Spells: pacify and cha

ok so im normaly rolling around at 245 cha, valadus 50 enc, pacify resists like mad with this amount of cha, i drop my cha buff, unequipped my cha doll, and pacify works like a charm again...... is it supost to be this way ? solb, bats, beetles, imps, elementals
