This is true, but it takes a raid leader to put it all together. It's one thing to read a strat and copy it. Its something different to create a strategy based on your guild roster and their relative skill levels. Everyone can talk shit about wow all they want, but 25m hard mode icecrown citadel (sindragosa, putricide, lich king for example) was no fucking joke for a raid leader, take away the dmg/hp/healing buffs and it was almost mathematically impossible. Neither was vanilla nefarian, 25m +0 yogg-saron. I heard cthun was horribly difficult but i didn't play at that point. The point is you worked with what you had.

Typically in wow, you could have 5-7 people carrying the other 20 by doing all the important jobs. It didn't work like that for the mentioned fights. Everyone had to be precise and a single fuckup would be disaster. It works the same here, 5-7 with knowledge of mechanics can carry everyone else, who is pretty much following the leader.

Not sure where I was going with this, but I just get irritated when people act like 100% of wow raiding is for the lowest common denominator just because all the easy mode shit exists.
