Is DAoC going to be hard for someone to pick up on this server that has never played before?

No, The only difference is melee is style based you have "Moves" that are positional

meaning if you are behind a player or monster, a behind based style will do more damage or have a bleed effect and will have a chain

meaning you hit the back style then the next attack is the "Follow Up"

Rogue have real stealth and real backstabs and can kill people in 1 or 2 moves regularly and can vanish.

Exp will be classic at release and you will have plenty of time to learn how to play

as a first time char stick with a caster, pet class or pure tank

I dont think i would ever take tomato kings advice on what you should play. He has proven to be incredibly bad at Everquest a game he has played for 17 years. He never fails to make the wrong choice and always looks like an idiot.

Since I have no experience with the game I'm going to let everyone get started and then I will join later once a Nihilum type guild emerges. They can power level me and get me through the game so that I can then sit in the back of RvR and claim victory.
